JUN cams are nice, much like my crower 3's. I wouldn't pay for a JUN clutch though, there are lots of more affordable options.

Question for the person with the jun built h22. Why are u only reving it to 7500rpm?? By the looks of your dyno sheet power doesn't seem to be falling off at 7500rpm, have you tried spining it to 8k's or even higher, your head is built and it could probably take those kinds of revs?

if you read the dyno he makes peak power at 7500 rpms, he went to about 7800 in the dyno graph. it's falling off so why keep going?

did you advance the timing on those, or is that just stock cam timing making that much power?

actually the cam gears are tuned but my max power was with the intake cam at zero. the exh. cam is only moved 1 degree. that helped with the midrange a little. JUN says with that compression only move the intake cam 1 deg. either way max, and the exh. 1.5 degree max. it did not take much time to adj. but every time i move the intake cam away from 0 deg. i lost power. but yes those peak numbers were the same with the cam gears at zero. tuned i picked up 1-3 hp from 3500 to 6000.

keep going to the point that the power output at the point you shift works out to land you in a good point when the RPM's drop. Just gotta find that correct point. Other than that, there is no reason

True, its all about staying in the power band.
but if your peak power is at 10,000, then take it to 10,000. lol

And about the cam timing, i have skunk stage 2 cams and ive been trying to find happy settings and sad to say its all guess work on my part. how do you figure out the best timing per cam? i mean is there a science? or if i took it to a proffesional, would they just trial and error it?

got to put it on the dyno to tune the gears. each engine is different so one engines settinge may not work for your motor.

yeah but that takes alot of runs to find the best settings. oh well, i guess it would be worth the money.
but i really think there is more to it then that. I mean really if i have stock compression then thats really the only thing that could change optimal cam timing. So i mean basically, whats too much, advance/retard what works for other people with the jdm motor with skunk cams.
i think ill just make a thread
