For Sale: Testing the waters on this gear...
I never really sell quality audio gear...I always find uses for it.
Well that all about to change. In July my son and daughter were
born premature ( 29 weeks). They spent thier first 6 weeks on life
in a level II NICU. They are healthy and our doing fine and progressing
well ( Now if I could only get some sleep
). Well I just
recieved the final total bill.....The total cost:
Just a little over a .25 million dollars.....ouch!!
Whew...my out of pocket before my insurance plan pays is $3K.
hence the posting. I really dont want to give up my gear..but
sacrifices must be made ( I just keep telling myself that )
Here is the gear...:
a. Xtant X603...my pride and joy. I paid full retail cause I always wanted
one....40 hrs of use ( basically for system setup before I mothballed
the system )
b. Soundstream Rubicon 604 (factory rebuilt 0 hrs )-After spending
$300 buck for local shops to fix my reference amp only to
have it do a nightcrawler act *Bamf* twice
...i had enough so I
sent it back...should have done that at first. Live and learn.
c. Sony cdxc660 deck....6 plus year and still going strong.
**** the sony haters....take proper care of the gear and it will last.
I have to optional 'phazer size' remote too.
d.Kenwood kdc515s...include wireless remote ( it was optional) and
the aux input cable.
e. Alpine cda7893 deck...also with remote and aux input cable.
f. Pheonix gold Basscube....0 hours of use.
g. JL audio XR650cxi coaxials ( slightly used)
h. 3 mtx audio BTL 108 10" subs ( these were the thunder comps subs
which became Xtants first sub style)
Well that it for now...Not that desperate yet just trying to decide if its
worth parting with some of my cherished gear. I guess what I'm asking
what is this stuff worth? To me its invaluable, but i gotta drw the line
somewhere.
Thankz

Sorry for the long story...here is the basics:
When you get married and start a family, the first things to go are
the "toys" ie hobbies. My Crx and mobile electronics gear are
"toyz'...they help me stay sane so to speak. But i have to be
rational...and responsible. So there it is in a nutshell. I am
trying to guage what a fair price for these items would be
if they were up for sale.
thankz
