Exterior molding problem...info plz
hi, the exterior molding on the top of the car where the doors shut, is stripped away, can i prime and paint the metal or what... what can i do to fix it, thinking of selling and i need to fiz it all up. any help is appreciated thx
sorry yeah the rain gutter, couldnt think of the technical term before...anything i can do? i was just gonna prime the bare metal and rind a rubber like paint and paint it, think whoever i sell it to will know? lol i need all the money i can get and i need to get dings and dents out and a new paint job **** i might as well keep the ******* thing and just make nice with it lol. but still i need to fix it even if it is just for me. all your help is very much appreciated
I had the same problem with the molding between the trunk and the rear windshield. I took it over to my regular shop to ask how much it would cost to replace. He told me not to bother and said he had a better idea:
He took some black bumper paint (they sell it in autoparts stores) and sprayed light coats onto the molding. It suprisingly came out great and best of all, it was free!
