Saw the coolest plate holder ever
After headin out of the gym I met up with a local lifter/rider that had a nice newer ZX7R (green of course). He had a full Muzzy exhaust with the plate haging from the side of the exhaust right behind the footpeg. I told him damn thats tight, and he looked at me and said ill show you what it can do, he gets on and kicks it back so the tag is angled sideways so no one can see it. He stressed to me the importance of it, hahah. Looked phat and it was fully functional, he claimed he made it but is there anything you can buy thats similar?
Worry more about your bike's distinctness rather than the plate. I'm sure you know how many the average rider has and how difficult it is to actually read a plate. If you've got a lot of one of a kind mods it'll be easier to pick you out and remember you. And yes, i've seen what you're talking about and many variations. One of the better ones has a small solenoid hooked up to the horn switch that flips the plate up and under and/or replaces it w/ a dummy
Im starting to see the tag on the side more and more everyday. Started with the choppers but it seems to be creeping to the sportbikes as well..... As far as his hideaway tag it sounds like all he did is hook some sort of inges(SP) to the tag holder so that it can swivel.... I know they have a thing called "Fast Tag" which works with a switch that you hit and the plate flips down... I think its on FTP site???
like these tags?...pretty cool but didnt think i would ever need it.
