Default Mugen Head Gasket torque specs?

I'm currently installing a 2 layer Mugen head gasket in my B18C5. What torque specs do I have to use? Are they the same as with an OEM head gasket or should it be a little tighter? I used the OEM torque specs and it's leaking oil through the gasket. Thanks for the help.

It depends on your definition of "worth it". The price of the gasket itself isn't very high, it's the labor that's the problem. If you don't mind doing it yourself, it will depend on whether you feel that pulling/reinstalling the head is worth a slight bump in compression. Mugen claims + .4, but my understanding is that it's actually around + .3 at the most. On a related note, we recently installed one, using copper spray and the factory torquing procedures, and have zero sealing problems.

Running for 40,000 miles, no copper spray, no issues.

It's a few bucks per can at your local auto parts store. It isn't really a question of "doing it right" - the spray is just small added insurance against leaks.

did you guys actually notice a power difference after the gasket install (assuming no other changes were made)? I was thinking about doing a gasket install but dont know if its "worth" it, especially since Ive already got high comp pistons and bigger cams (clearance could be a problem).

Sorry, but Toda A's went in at the same time, so I really have no basis for comparison. I can't imagine you'll see a tremendous gain (and we all know about the butt dyno), but considering that most gains seem to work out to around $100 per HP on an ITR, the gasket might not be such a bad deal, even if you only saw 3 WHP.
