NEED NEW RADIATOR! WHAT BRAND? FLUIDYNE?
I think that how you spell it... Fluidyne.... well anyways, how is it? Does anyone have this radiator? How well does it fit? How much do they cost? Thanks!
Ndustryal GSR has it and from the pics on his site it looks great. The only thing I can remember people saying is that their car didnt seem to run any cooler when they switched to the Fluidyne but this is because the stock sensor is quite in accurate. Secondly because the radiator is larger than stock, you will need new set of fans for it. Now you could go and pay a bundle for the FAL fans or the ones sold by Fluidyne, or you can just go to autozone and get the 2 12" fans they have for quite a bit less. I'm sure ndustryal will fill you in on all the details.
Here is a link to ndustryal's site, hope he doesn't mind http://members.aol.com/_ht_a/ndustryal/integragsr.html

awesome, thanks for the link. i need the new radiator cause mine is cracked, and i figured this one would look 10x better, so.... thanks again!
I have a Fluidyne, it doesn't have mounts for the A/C condenser fan and I have been driving for months without it, but you can do like Ndustryal did and buy a "slimline" fan with a universal mounting kit. If do decide to buy the Autozone fan, buy the Fluidyne mounting for it or you'll learn the hard way just how fragile those damned Aluminum fins are
, and you only need one by the way.
Furthermore your car WILL NOT run any cooler with the Fluidyne (and its not because of the stock sensor), all that happens is you increase the capacity of your cooling system. It would be like saying "well if I doubled the size of my gas tank tank then my engine would get twice as much fuel and I'd have twice as much horsepowers!"

Try C&R radiators... $490 for radiator w/ fans. I will be getting my C&R Teg radiator from Larry at Import Auto Salvage next week.

I second the ITR radiator. I believe its a little thinner so it will fit stock without any mods. (I am not sure about a LS). Plus its all alluminum.

hummm... well I"m not all about paying $500 for a radiator... I was told that they best thing to do is get the Civic Si radiator (half size) b/c it weighs less and is just as effective. I like the odea of getting an ITR one though, I think the smaller radiator looks pretty goofy. Thanks for the help!

i have a fluidyne radiator and that thing never ever reaches the halfway mark. anyhow..the a/c fan doesnt fit because its too thick and it hits the a/c and power steering bracket. so i only have one fan and ive been running it like that for months. its a real tight fit if youre using the stock fans though.
i have a stock integra radiator and it also never reaches the halfway mark. its usually 1/4 away from reaching the halfway mark. or, like 1 and 3/4 centimeter aways from the letter C. i think.
and yeah, if u have a bigger radiator, it doesnt mean that your engine will be cooler. what it does mean, is that it iwll take ur car a little longer to warm up, but once it reaches a certain temperture, it will stay that way.
just like boiling a water in a small pan, and in a big pan. even tough it takes longer to boil the water in the bigger pan, at a certian time, it will reach the same temperature as the smaller pan.

autozone sells an ultra-slim fan for $50 from what i'm told is identical to the $75 one from fluidyne. Weight is an issue b/c when I autocross (just getting into it) i strip everything out from the passenger seat to the trunk lining. I don't run the konig's (19.2 lbs + tires) when I race either, i run TE37's which weight almost half of that. i found a guy selling a new fuidyne radiator for $290 plus shipping, plus the ultra-slim fan... i think i might jump on it. I can get the civic si radiator for $75 froma buddy of mine is why i was considering it.
That $290 is a great deal. I'd definitely do that. I'd also recommend against the Si radiator setup. I know the B16 is practically a B18, but .......... I have a friend who used to have a '95 Civic coupe with an LS engine. He used to have overheating issues, and the amount of heat coming through the firewall from the larger engine would get pretty intense. That 1/2 size radiator just couldn't keep up.
Good luck with the fix.
Good luck with the fix.
go with the fluidyne why bother go back stock that like by stock shocks again instead of aftermarket ones replace parts with performance ones as they break
