Default help with designing box for 2 12" hex's

I have a civic Coupe and 2 Xtant 12" Hex's single voice coil. Can some one translate this to me and give me some dimensions that will fit in my civic?

VENTED ENCLOSURE

Enclosure VOLUME - 2.00ft ^ 3
Vent Dim. - 4" x 18"
F3 - 30HZ
Tuning Frequency - 30hz
Ripple - .36db
net volume - 1.79 ^3 (50.7 l)
driver volume - .07ft ^3 (1.9 l)
vent volume - .14' ^3 (4.0 l)
Excursion limit SPL - 115db
Excusion limit power - 500 watts

Ok so thats for one sub so Do I double everything there for 2 of them?? PLZ help if you can im not an audio guru like some of you. I remeber VTEG was a artist when it came to this ****... TIA

Basically you will need 4.00 ft^3. Also I would probably make the box with two chambers and a port on each. I've never done any ported enclosures so I could be wrong but that's how I would approach it.

The width of your trunk will probably be a limiting factor as well as depth. There should be some airspace between your subs and your trunk lid. I would suggest measuring your trunk and tell us the dimensions that you come up with.

Also depending on how much space you have available you may hafta go with a sealed enclosure due to lack of space. Another thing you hafta realize is that if you build all that outta MDF you are going to be adding a lot of weight to your car not even counting the subs and the amp. It is going to be slow as ballz.

I think that sealed will give you the most even response across all ranges. From what I've read, ported is better when you want your sub to produce better response at lower frequencies.

Basically I think what the tuning does is boost a particular frequency range that the driver by itself doesn't do well. Most dB charts that I've seen from drivers show that the driver become less effecient (less dB) the lower it goes and after a certain point, the higher it goes. What the tuning would do is boost the dB in a certain range making that range sound more even with or louder than other areas of the curve.

Am I correct on that guys? That was just my understanding of it.
