Default H1 get ready at Summit

Saw this posted on the S2Ki board.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">We debuted the car this past weekend at Summit Point for the SCCA MARRS 9 race competing in the SPU class (Super Production Under 2 litres). We took the class win and broke the track record by over 4 seconds!!

Our next event is the Honda Challenge race at Summit Point on 11/1-2. We are hoping to show the front wheel drive Hybrids how it is done

Here is a picture of the car from the event (still waiting on good photos from the photographer):

I hope that Stoptech sticker is for their OEM-sized rotors only

If he broke the SPU track record by four seconds then he would have ran in the 1:23's

Actually, it is only for their brake lines.

The old SPU track record was in the high 1:31s.

BTW, this it?

6 T1 84 SPU Meise-Jason Fairfax VA WDC R Honda S2000 276216 16 **1:27.390

G00t job! But I believe Evans qualified with a 1:25 or so in 100+ degree weather...

I was way slower than 1:27s though

Times at the 12hr *may* not officially count towards official lap records.

That's it. There is no doubt that James is giving us something to shoot for.

If you don't mind me asking, why did you choose to run SPU versus SPO? WDCR defines SPU as 2 liter and under. I thought the S2000 was a 2.2 liter engine?

The 2004 engines are 2.2 litres - the 2002 has a 2 litre (1997cc) engine.

Congrats to you and hopefully i'll run u down nextseason!!

Once you guys get the car sorted out and get used to driving it, I think a 1:25 will be more than easy, considering Kristian Skavnes pulled a 1:26.299 in a T2 S2000 at SP .

actually, SPO is 2 Liters and over... however, since the s2k is RIGHT under 2 liters, it can run SPU.

i had to look carefully at the rules before i decieded to buy this b20 block i'm working on... (b20, also right under 2 liters)

See ya there.

I bet pole will be around 1:25.0 and we'll have 5 more guys in the low 1:26's.

John- 1:26.9- 1:27.xxx with 130 degree track temps in July.

H1 is gonna be unbelievable!
