Default Tein????

Tein makes this suspension kit, coilovers on the shocks, and the Electronic Damping Force Controller can be used with it. Has anyone used it? If so, ur thoughts. It would be for a delsol. Does anyone know the diameter of the head unit?? I dont have time to search so dont tell me that. Thanks in advance

Im thinking about getting the Type Flex shock/coilovers and getting the Electronic adjuster. I found out that it's 4 x 5 inches. Inside the del, i found a nice little comparement and it will fit nicely there

imo the tein flex are well worth the money.

but I think the edfc(electronic damping force controller) is a bit of frivolous purchase.

you really dont need it, and it just ads complexity and weight to something that was previously simple and efficient.

I duno, i'm just not down for it.

BUT if you like the "bling factor" of being able to adjust your damping from inside the car, then It may be worth it for you.

EDFC is mainly for road racers that need to change the damper settings on the fly.

Dont get me wrong, if i had the extra $300 (or whatever) i would rock it, but its not really necessary.

That is very true. But it also makes the dampers 32 way adjustible instead of just 16.

i have the edfc and the type flex coilovers, i wasnt sure how effective the edfc was going to be, but it is actually very useful for changing road conditions - it has 16 increments front and rear separate so you can balance the car easily, and saving different hard and soft presets make going from a rough country road to a smooth road and aggressive driving very easy.

16 is PLLEENTY

8 is enough, 16 is plenty.
heck I get by with 4(although I do admit more would be nice).

the flex has stiffer spring rates than the ss. also i *think* the flex's shocks are 32 way adjustable vs. the ss's 16 way. who needs 32 settings? id be happy with 4.

So basically.. not worth the extra money? Even on a autox car? What about the DC2 SS (on a EG) vs.. the Flex? 16 way adjustables are plenty for me..

Thanks

I'd try and find a set of used HAs over some SSs or Flexs.

The flex own the SS's. The Flex are 24 adjustable, plus you can adjust the preload of the spring. Also, they are valved diffrent, are consturted better (does not have exposed steel threads that rust.)
