Hey guys, sorry to bother you, but we got problems. My left drivers side door of my honda civic was broken into, so the glass was everywhere, cleaned it up a bit, but im gonna have to get some new glass installed. Fortunately, i already have glass(extra door(same side) that was taken out because it got hit). Its kinda cold and i have class in about 2hr, can anyone help me knock this out possible before class? Is this gonna be something we can do, or will i need to take this to the dealers?

 

take the door panel off.... un bolt all the brakets that hold the window in.... vaccumm all the glass out... Place new window in.... re bolt... viola easy

 

sorry im new and sorry to bother you, but how many brackets do i need to take off...looks like just 2. i took the plastic part of the door of, but im left with a metal frame of some sort and the glass is in between, how do i get the glass out of the door?

 

I think there should be only 3 brackets, just look around and you'll find it out .

 

thanks civic racer, i just took out the glass there were 2 brackets, that were pretty hard to get at cause since the extra door was disconnected i couldn't use the power to get easier access to the brackets, hopefully we can get this glass in the new door just as easy...ill let you know what happens. thanks, by the way, what do you have done to your car? is it a 95, 2dr cp?

successful...Thanks so much civic racer! now the places i called said that would take about 1 hr. if i knew exactly what i was doing from the start, i couldve nailed it in like 20min, prob less.
