any experiences w/ Phantom Grip LSD's???
any one have any experience w/ the Phantom Grip LSD's?
ive heard people refer to them as "Phantom Slips" but have never really heard anyone's personal experience.

After much research, I found why bother. You can get a JDM CTR LSD on ebay from someone like Japandy for like $300 barely used. Works in a similar fasion, just with factory reliability.
Phantom grip is a joke, it is a diff locker. It does not hold up and does not work when pushed hard, better off just getting the limited slip diff unit, you will be more pleased.

i gotta agree with that. had it with my old zc setup and it did the trick. i could imagine there might be problems with more power though.

i seen many broke diff's come to my shop it usally happens because the person that installed it didn't read the instrutions i've had 1 in my mitsu 581 hp and 1 in my hondab 408 hp with no prob. i know other people with high hp with them in there cars as well with no prob

that is only two that have survived. what about the other zillion that have failed with 200whp.

from the research that i did earlier in the year it seems i havn't found one that has broken...But i did find that people did break alot of spider gears and other tranny parts.

There seems to be a Phantom Grip bandwagon, no offense to those who have stated their opinions. Granted that over huge HP may slip but then again not everyone had 800 or whatever$$ to spend on a Quaiffe. I have had great success with the PG. BAng for the buck so I give it a

this is like the never ending eagle/crower battle. eagles are good for they money and simple mild setups. and phantom slips are good for simple mild setups.
