does the y8 head have its own oil jet?

 

oil is controlled by the vtec solinoid, no oil jet is on the deck of the block like a6's and other d series.

the reason i ask is because i just had a mini me done and the guy who did my swap didn't pull the oil jet because he claimed that there is no oil jet in the y8 head, but now, vtec won't kick in. he claims it might be a vafc problem or a vtec solenoid problem, but do you think i should just have him pull the oil jet? thanks

pulled my jet when I put in the z6 head.. and my friend pulled his when he did his y8... I say- pull it.

 

i dont think the oil jet is in the vtec solenoid on the y8, because a y7 block doesnt have an oil jet and its non vtec. the head just has its own oil jet in all the front spark plug d series.
