Anybody having trouble with hasport shift linkage?
The setup:
91 si hatchback
bseries motor and HYDRO tranny
hasport billet motor mount kit
hasport shift linkage
hasport cable to hydro conversion
Now the problems:
This tranny was PERFECT when I removed it from my other cart. No grinds, smooth engagement. Ever since I've had it in my hatch, I've noticed that sometimes when it's in neutral it locks me out of EVERY gear. This goes away after anywhere from 30 seconds to 5 minutes of playing with it and engaging, disengaging the clutch. BUT it is quite annoying. Also, I've noticed that the shifter throws are MUCH longer than the integra I pulled the tranny and motor out of. Why is this? I'd have thought they'd have the shift linkage with an equal or shorter throw.

I think you are one off the first to use the Hasport Conversion Kit!!!
try playing with it might slove the problem if no one knows the problem!!!

maybe you have some missing parts off of the linkage or loose bolts
and need to adjust your clutch play, specially if you find the release level is too low and engaging right away an inch off the floor

Your describing a clutch problem not a linkage problem. Take some more slack out of the clutch cable. If that doesn't fix the problem you may have a problem with the clutch.
Also the throw is a function of the shift lever not the linkage.

I'm glad someone from hasport replied.
I can certainly play with the cable a bit, if you recommend that - but the engagement point is already very close to the floor.....
As for the shift linkage, do you use a different one for a hydro tranny vs a cable one for b-series in an EF? The throws certainly feel LONGER than they used to be with the cable dseries tranny..... What would be the cause here? Stock shift lever, btw...
Also, should my kit have come with a different tranny side mount? I could only use the upper portion and had to weld up a bracket for the lower portion.....
I bought the kit from my local shop.
Thanks.

Your clutch cable is definitely too loose.
The mount should look like the one shown on the web site and of course fit perfectly. If your doesn't, it sound like I need to fire the guy who stuffs the mounts in the box.
Call Hasport and describe the mount to the sales guys and maybe you need to return the mount for the correct one.
