Is 26 thousand a good price for an used 01' S2000??
Im looking in to buying a used s2000 for 26K that has about 56k miles on it.
Mods:
1) TEIN RS FULL COIL OVER
2) INJGEN COLD AIR INTAKE
I was wondering if that is a good price for its value
The car does make valve nosie when its idleing but the owner told that it needed valve clearence done to it

I just paid $24G for a '02 GWP with 17k on it. No dings, garage kept, never saw rain. Needs new rear tires, but most you'll find will.
$24k is way overpriced for an '01 IMO. If you could grab it for $22k, I'd jump on it. Beyond that, you could probably find a better deal on another '01 or certainly on an '00 and still have the $$ left to put the injen and Tein on it.

Ask yourself. 56,000miles for used 01 S2000. That means the owner racked up more than 28,000miles/year on this car. Brand new price of S2000, lets say $33,000 and he wants $26,000 for his car? So that is about $7,000 depreciation.
That is about $3,500/year depreciation on a car that he ran more than 28,000miles on it per year?
That car is worth about $21,000 even on top end.

I'd have to agree. For some reason, I missed the 56k in my reply. I had it stuck in my head that he'd said 17k miles.

I have an 01 and with all the money I have invested in it I would ask for over $30,000. That being said, I know I would never get what I want for it so I would part it out and make some of my money that way. But I am not selling mine right now..
I have 42000 miles on my 01 and would sell it for $23,000 for just the car alone, no mods or hardtop..
Bottom line is $26,000 is a bit high for a stock 01 S2000 with over 55,000 miles.

I looked at a mint yellow 01 with 16k miles on it. 6k worth of upgrades including rims and springs, full stereo, exhaust, and all stock parts. Price was $23k. Just something to compare to.
Thanks for the replys, this helps me alot when i go out and look for used s2ks, for about a stock 2001 s2000 should sell at about 23K, im guessing since the newer o4 edition will help bring the vavue down of this s2k i think but i dont know>? i will try talking to the onwer but i havn't really decided to buy a car yet since the EVO and STi are still in my mind at the end i am still more of a honda guy.. .
wait a minute... this looks like the s2000 that i helped put the coil-overs in? I think this was the car i drove when i raced a CBR600 F4I and beat it! its a good car. But talk the owner down.

That's very steep for an MY00.

As mentioned, that is too high a price. It has a lot of miles, and mods actually decrease the value of the car. Within the past few months leftover 2003 S2k were going for about $29k-$30k NEW! Shop around and see if there are any leftover 03 S2ks available
