Default Shortshifter question: Forbidden v. PSPEC shifters (with PICS)

I've been looking into buying a shortshifter for my Prelude and was leaning towards getting the Forbidden shifter based on people's feedback on it and being that it's a true short shifter and not an adaptor plate like most. However, I just came across the PSPEC shortshifter which is also a true shortshifter and now I'm not sure which I should get. Does anyone have any feedback on the PSPEC shifters? What do you guys think?

FORBIDDEN SHORT SHIFTER - 1/2 inch shorter than stock

PSPEC SHORT SHIFTER - 1 inch shorter than stock

The PSPEC shifter comes with its own custom shiftboot with O-ring to keep the boot attached to the shifter along with a TypeR style shiftknob.

I know the Forbidden one has gotten good feedback already but what do you guys think about the PSPEC one? They had a groupbuy through Hondatech a while back and I'm wondering what people thought of them. Also, does anyone have a pic of what the Forbidden shifter looks like installed with the boot and shiftknob? Does the boot hang off the shifter?

I'm looking into getting one of the above asap so any and all feedback would be appreciated. Plus, I figure it would give other Prelude owners more options when shopping for mods on their cars. Thanks in advance.

The Forbidden shifter sells for around $135 on Ebay and the PSPEC sells for around $145-$150 on Ebay so they're about the same. But as mentioned, the PSPEC comes with its own shorter shiftboot and an ITR style ****.

My shifter looks so ugly in color in pics! People who see it in person say how beautiful it is, but even I'll admit the color looks funky in pictures.

You guys have 40mins or so to get one for super cheap....this is the lowest its ever been.

I'm not going to throw in any comments....I will let customer reviews speak for themselves.

LOL! The pics I posted of 4bidden's shifter was directly off his Ebay auction. I wasn't trying to knock on his shifter at all as I'm pretty much leaning towards getting it. I just wanted to see what the feedback was like on the PSPEC shifter.

Yea, those are pictures from my auction. I'll get some more but they all seem to look crazy in pictures for some reason. One person even called it green recently

Here are some decent shots....

from there site:

"The PSPEC shifter must be used in conjunction with the PSPEC shift boot and an aftermarket shift ****. The stock shift boot and **** will not properly work with our shifter. All components (****, boot, and shifter) are supplied in the kit.

* **** and shifter use stock Honda thread."

Ok I'm sold on the 4bidden shifter being that I haven't seen anyone post with feedback about the PSPEC one. hehe

4bidden: Just wondering if you'd entertain another groupbuy on the shifters as I'm sure there are other members here who'd be interested. PetroGuyX and I'm definitely in if there is.

Although it does look like I'm going to go with the 4bidden shifter, I'd still like some feedback on the PSPEC one if anyone has it. Thanks.

I have the Pspec shifter it is a very nice piece, the boot fits well and is nicer than the stock one, the shifter **** is cool too but I chose to use my carbon fiber / alum **** because it matches my e brake handle both of these guys shifters are quality pieces so either way you go you win, it just depends on what you like.

Got any pics of your shifter installed? How low does the shifter feel compared to stock since its 1/2 inch shorter than the 4bidden one? I also noticed it doesn't have the bend in it like the stock or 4bidden shifter.

what i have noticed is that the 4bidden one still has a bend to it. like the stock one, which i would think would help keep the shifter where is was desigined to be, so it does not feel awakward. also the 4bidden one has three settings you can choose the one you like, and it appers that the pspec only has one. now i gather all this from the pics, as i still have my stock one.

ill stand by the forbiddin one. it is adjustable too. i have no complaints about this one. the other one does come with the shift boot and shift ****.... hell, i could go buy a better shift boot and shift **** for about $85.
