Default Changing Timing Belt

I want to do it.. because i know I can do it right..

I am going to get a Helms manual soon for the car.

I want to get this done by this weekend.. anyone know of any
online guides (with pics) where they can give me an overview
of changing a timing belt on a f22b2 engine.. ??

Today's your lucky day. I found this (http://www.cybertrails.com/~pu....html) site a little while back, through a link posted up on this very site.

I wish I'd found it before I did the T-belt swap on my '91 Accord (F22A1); it might've saved me some time.

This looks to be for an F22A, but I doubt there's a huge difference in the B...

Buy OEM not shitty aftermarket stuff. Buy from the company that MADE your car, you will regret it otherwise.

Personally I would spend the extra $40 for the OEM belts. As I'm sure you know, these are one of those parts you want to be cheap about.

Did you buy just the timing belt or did that price include both the timing belt and balancer shaft belt? Just for referrence, I based my price off of HondaAutomotiveParts. Basically, the point of my post was to go with OEM parts.

I bought my Timing Belt, Balancer Shaft Belt, P.S. Belt, Alternator/Compressor Belt, Water Pump and Water Pump Gasket from TAS for about $150.

Replace your cam seal.
Replace your water pump.
Install balance shaft seal retainer (if it's not installed already).

I'm working on an ecommerce site that offers high demand OEM parts. If you want parts, I have everything you need (all OEM and new, of cource). If you are interested, let me know and I'll post a price on the whole kit (including valve cover gasket and Honda antifreeze). I'm sure I can beat the online store's price.

And it would be a good idea to check the front main crankshaft seal while you're in there, too. It's pretty easy to change out if it's leaking. The way I see it, once I've got all that stuff off the front of the motor, I really don't want to have to go back in there for a while.

get a honda belt! you will be pissed if you're off a tooth... trust me. and if you have high miles, you may need a new tensioner. make sure you align the crank with the cam(s) @ TDC... if not you can shop for a new head cuz yours will be trash.

oh, and have a 12-pack with you b/c you will need this as well.
have fun

Absolutely. Send me a list of parts needed, the year and model and I'll send you a total with shipping.
