Default Overheating problems, please help!

I have a B20Vtec hatch with a stock 92-95 radiator because the car used to be turboed. Whenever I drive on the freeway the temp needle starts to rise. When i'm just cruising the streets it doesn't do that but. But when i race on the freeway it gets real close to overheating. I already replaced the thermostat and pressure checked the radiator and all is good. So what do you guys think the problem is? Any suggestions would help because it is really getting annoying whenever i race. Thanks.

make sure none of the hoses are crimped, check the water pump. get an aftermarket thermoswitch to make your fan come on earlier

The 92-95 civic radiator should be able to handle the motor. Does your fan work? What type of fluid are you using (coolant and water, just water, etc.)?, and like the others have mentioned, check out your water pump. Is there any leaks from the motor?

Sounds like your water pump is going out. i had this problem with my b16...everytime i would drive 70-80 mph which is about 4500rpm, my needle would raise up almost to the red. changed my water pump and haven't had a problem since.
