OK, did a search, still not understanding OFFSET too well..
Say I'm going to purchase the 15x6.5 spoon wheels. theres a variety of offsets. what's the difference??
Try, http://www.tirerack.com I think they explain the concept of offset. But, for specific questions to what offset works for our cars for different size wheels, I am not sure.
Well the wheels I was considering were the RH Cp-035 in 15x6.5. I was just wondering because I've seen people post that the TIrerack suggested a certain offset but they went with something different and I was wondering why they did what they did.
well there's only 2 reasons that they did that if they bought 15x6.5
either they want the wheels to sit closer to the car or further out.
since 15x6.5 is the stock size (i believe) you can't go wrong with something close to the stock offset.
with a smaller offset the wheel will sit further out, and vice versa.

Beware, because some wheels of the stock size with close to stock offset will not clear the brake calipers. So sometimes you have to have less offset so the wheels stick farther out. This is not optimal, but it is sometimes necessary to get the wheels to clear the brakes. If I remember right, TE-37's in stock size and high offset (close to stock) won't clear the brakes.
