OK, I want to drop the R a little bit. I have Tein HA coilovers. Nosamk, the former owner, said if i adjust the height any, I'll need an alignment. I trust what he says, but i'm not slamming the car, just lowering it slightly. Is an alignment absolutely necessary? I'm getting conflicting opinions from some of my car guys...

any advice?

 

yeah.any time you change ride hieght the suspension geometry is changed again..

 

Unless you plan on purchasing new tires get an alignment.

Adjusting the coilovers up and down, changes the camber. Wheel alignment cant adjust the neg. camber, unless you have a camber kit.

well, I'm not gonna do ghetto **** with a Type R.

 

thats good to hear..i lowered my R without getting it aligned...when i took it to the track aoigsr's stock gsr setup was working better than mine.. a very humbling expirience..

Was aoi's setup working better, or was he working better

 

taka with the ae86 first drove athas car..then later drove mine..he said my car was a mess! after the alignment...night and day!! the car became a whole new animal..

 

EP - Was that alignment just to correct toe? Or did you install a camber kit as well?

 

since EP's not around...

He has camber kits also.

 

What kind of suspension anbd camber adjustments are you running?
