hey, this is for the guys that have a CF hood on their 5th gen. ok, this is the problem, it looks like the surface of the hood is burning or like ina better or easier way to put it, seems like its top layer has lost its shine as if the hood is fucked up, but when u wet it the thread shows again and its OK nothing is wrong but whats the water dry's off, you can see the fucked up surface again, and i recently waxed it today and it went almost away like completely, but i need to do it one or 2 more times to get it all off but my question is why does it do this? we thoguth the motor was burning it and i think it is we put a heat sheild on and it just made the whole thing spread all over the hood. and i saw my friends prelude and he has the same problem with it and he just buffed it off but he does taht every 3-5 weeks. why does it do this? honda had no clue or ne shop had no clue on what was wrong or what was causing it. do you guys have the same problem? this happened about 4 months after it was on, maybe less or more dont really rem. but around a time like that. thanks.
