where do you get zymol from? the zymol they have at auto zone is cleaner wax. Doesn't that just remove oxidation and stuff? Do they have a wax wax, or is that the one?
zaino is overrated....wax is good for protection only...gold class imo is the best....but 3m is good also. for absolute shine meguiars #7 is hands down the best, it is a pure polish not a wax, however it washes off with water

I wash the car first (use Dawn if you want to remove prior wax), dry, then apply wax. If it's the first time you are detailing the car, try clay bar first. Wash with dawn > Clay bar > Wash with dawn again > Wax.
2-3 Quarter sizes should be enough for your whole hood. They say nickel but I use a quarter size. 1 or 2 should be okay for a body panel, depending on how big.
I use Klasse followed with P21s. Zaino is too much work and overrated. Zaino takes forever to dry, smudges, and is harder to remove than Klasse All-in-one. If you use Zaino in cold weather, it takes FOREVER to dry. Klasse dries very fast.
Here's a good comparison test. http://www.deckowski.com/index.htm

i use 3M wax/polish, Blitz one grand caranuba wax, Klasse sealant glaze and Blackfire polish on my cars...i just use them to my discretion and use some sort of combination of them...but they all make my car(s) look blinging
Zymol protection doesn't last as long as Meguiar's. It might last longer than Meguiar's Gold class wax, but Meguiars Gold class is not about long lasting protection it's about shine. Meguiar's Medallion wax(M98) protection is by far better than Zymol. Meguiar's Hi-tech yellow wax(M2616) is also a long lasting wax. You should hit up the guys at Meguiars for more details. They where very helpful to me.
