A/C hasn't been charged in 1 year...can i just recharge or not?
It's been a year since my swap and the A/C hasn't been recharged since...can i just recharge it or are there parts that i should look to replace? Just to save me an extra recharge and troubleshooting if it doesn't work.
Thanks,

did it just loose freon? or did u open it up and it lost it when you did your swap.. if so, did you leave it open this whole time? or was it sealed?.. if its been left open most likely your compressor and dryer are shot. but if its been sealed up it should be ok to just add in the freon, maybe alittle oil as well
well it has been hooked up this whole time with all connections made accordingly however there is zero pressure in it. Is there some procedure to seal it? or did you just mean was the system all connected when you said sealed?
Thanks!

There are cans that seal up your ac system if it leaks. If you convert to a different refrigerant, replace the drier, if you are using the same refrigerant, make sure you evacuate it so it is done right.
I'll be converting to the new refrigerant, only because it seems easy and just as cheap right? i've seen the kits in pep boys. So let me get this straight, there should be no damage to the compressor/condensor since the system has been sealed the past year with no pressure. All i should do is replace the drier for new refrigerant? THANKS! VINCE
yup everything should be good, make sure you put a vacume to the system before you add the new 134a, otherwise it might not work... and then you can tell if the system will hold a charge or not, if you have leaks the vacume will tell you
