Help! Which shocks should I get?
I have a 99 Prelude and have decided on going with the Eibach Pro Kit and keeping my stock rims for the time being. I want the ride to be as close to stock as possible with more control and not so much roll in the turns. I think I may go with the KYB GR2's cause I have heard they are great and obviously the most affordable. What do you guys think about the KYB adjustables or the Tokico Illumina's? Then there are the blue Tokico's too! I just want some feedback to see what you all out there have on your Lude's and what would be my best bet.
Thanks in advance-
Thanks in advance-
KYB is pretty good stuff, dunno how often you'd adjust those or any adjustable unless you do auto-x or track days, tho. You really can't go wrong with any brand name out there.

I have narrowed it down to the Tokico HP Blues or the KYB GR2's just because I know they are both good and are less expensive than the adjustables. They are both right around $225 shipped. Any of you guys have those on your ludes and what do guys think of them?
Thanks
Thanks
I have tokico HP's with H&R Sports on my 99 and they ride wonderful. As close to stock as possible.
I had KYB AGX 4 Way adjustables on my 92 prelude with Eibach sportlines and the struts/shocks absolutely sucked. They were rough even on the softest setting.
Go with the Tokico's....you wont regret it!
Got mine off ebay for 260.

i got H&R sports with GR2's. in my opinion i liked em if installed properly you should feel it almost like stock setup. i didn't have any regrets about it specially when it only cost $180 for all 4.

Cannot comment on the choices already offered. I am on Koni "yellow" shocks. Have used them with the Prokit springs and now with Neuspeed Sport on the Prelude. Our CRX also uses Koni. If you want the very best for your $$$-I think this is the way to go. Better to save up and do the project in one shot, BTW-regardless of shock choice.
I have the KYB G2s on my 92 SI. I have been very satisfied with them. I encourage you to choose KYB just from my own experience. I have not used the AGX but i have heard good things about them. I have also heard that Tokicos are good as well. I am sure they are all comparable I just had great satisfaction with the KYB G2s.
