I'll second that...
I'll second that...
If you ride on the street, dont' waste your time... I know someone who is a great rider, went down in a turn because of wheelbase/weight distribution factor w/ the extended swingarm. Slid off the road missed a tree by two feet and woke up in the hospital where he stayed for a week. Unless you're draggin a track, no point

kinda agree with tony on that.......
its a track only thing imo......but you cant get it done you need to buy one....unless you know someone who makes custome swing arms....again if you just drag racing the bike go for it if not dont waste your money...

I didn't realize that exntended swingarms were "hot". I just recently learned that fat 200 rear tires are the shizzle. It wasn't so bad when they stuck to neon lights but getting into suspension setup endangers the general public.

Must not be that great of a rider then. I have never had a problem. Any time you make a major change even some minor one it can greatly effect the way your bike handle ( in corners, down the E-way, ect...). You should always Play around with it and make shure you know how it will react after the changes.

He hit a patch of sand... its by the shore where this happened. Geometry of the bike/wheelbase played a part, no matter how big/small everyone's opinions are on the issue.
first off why delete shitstain i mean shiftstain? get some post under your name then talk. and this is a tech board for asking questions like this so if you dont have a good answer just do like your mom said and dont say anything. i would say 90% of the bikes i have rode were extended infact i learned how to ride on one and that is all i road until i got my bike. if you want to make a turn on a extended bike than you will make it. never had a problem or layed a bike down. now if you have something worth saying to help than let me know.
Where are you located? You could go to any motorcycle fab shop thats well known, ex OCC, WCC, etc. I woudln't take it to a regular sportbike place that does services/etc, I'd take it to a place that, for example, builds customs.

If 90% of the bikes you rode had swing arm extended and stuff it doesn't mean they were right.... just means that you hang out with "posers" Yes the bike will turn but no where near as well as if it was left as it was. The bikes are set up they way they are for SPECIFIC reasons.... precise calculation go into building them... They don't just take the wheels and say "ummm 4 feet apart sounds good...."
Anyways do what you will, but I would not recomend.... Unless all your worried about is looking "cool" and rolling around on square tires.....
