Q about JUN III's
alright, i'm buying cams for my car and i'm thinking about Skunk S1's because i'm sticking with stock compression. But how do so many of these people get awesome gains from the JUN's on stock compression B-series motors, i'm under the impression that they are similiar to Skunk S3's?? and i don't see how cams these big are efficient with dynamic compression being so low? thanks for any help.
they have low lift and high duration. Although high compresion is better you can get awaya with 10.5-1 or 11.0-1 with Jun's cams. There area few dyno plots floating around this site with stock JDM R motors over 200whp with JUN 3's.
JUN III's are closer to Skunk2 stage 2's. They are not low lift they are pretty high lift AND high duration. Skunk2 Stage 2's and Jun III's are not going to very much. I've seen identical set-ups where JUN comes out on top on some and Skunk2 on others.
What about the "longevity of Skunk2" ?

If you are sticking with stock compression, yea I would get toda A's or something like that. I had jun 3's with stock compression and it made power, but I'm willing to bet I would have made the same power with a less radical cam because of the stock compression.
