Default need advice on all motor upgrade

looking for any help. looking to upgrade my b16b. i know i can use a b18c rotating assembly to get 1.8 displacement. my question is can i use a 1.8-2.0 stroker in my block without any clearance issues. i am under the impression that a b16b block is a destroked b18c5 block. is this correct and can anyone help me with info. thats for you help.

The b16 block has a shorter deck height then the b18 and b20 blocks. If it didnt people would just simply get b16 blocks and throw gsr or ls rotating assemblies in there and ahve a 1.8. If you already have a b16 motor, you can pick up a ls shorty and put togahter a decent ls/vtec. Or get a gsr block slap on the b16 head and you then have yourself a poor mans R.

you can use any crank ls,gsr or any stroker cranks available for b18 without clearance issues as long as you use corresponding rods.

sorry wasnt paying attention, on me... Is it worth ripping that motor apart then, that would be my question. I figure it would be cheaper to just pick up another block.
