B18A into EF HB questions. Did a search, but..
I searched but couldn't find exactly what I was looking for.
I bought an 89 shell, but I think it has a Si body harness. How do I tell?
Let's say it is an Si body harness, is it plug and play with the B18A engine harness? Is there any additional wiring needed?
After installing the engine and plugging the B18A engine harness into the body harness along the firewall, all of the plugs plug together, but there is only one plug that is left empty. It is a rectangular plug on the passenger side near the large round plug. It has 8 wires going to it. What is this plug? Do I need to custom wire something up here?

To check if it is an Si harness check how many rectangular injector plug there are. If it has 4 then it is an Si harness. If it is an Si harness then no other wiring mods are needed
i dont know if you have a si body harness but to get the b18a to run you will need to get a Si engine harness then run one wire to pin A10 from the fuel pressure cut-off soliniod.
The Si engine harness will only plug in to si body harness.
FYI I drive a 90 Si with OBD 0 B18A1. I did all the work myself and know how the thing goes together.

Yeah, to but that b18a in there you are going to have to change it over from DPFI to MPFI. Its a bit of a task, but you should be able to find a how to some where on here. I've done a few b18 swaps into ef's but they have all been Si's. I don't much like to fool around with wiring. If it were my car i would just get the pre made harness from HASport. For me its worth the money to have a wiring harness that isn't hacked to ****.
