Default Using front 1/4's to repair rear 1/4's rust? Has anyone tried it?

I have some small rust issues on the rear 1/4's. Now i want it fixed perminently, so no fiberglass and bondo crap... thats what previous owner has done.

Below is a pic of what the rears look like... pic is old and rust has blistered some more but not that bad.

I also have a spot on the roof with rust. Looks like there was a dent or scratch and the bare metal rusted a bit.... can this simply be grinded down since it is only surface rust?

thanks.

Get it to a body shop asap before it DOES rust through the metal..

If you can scrape away some of the bubbled paint do so and spray on some rust inhibitor to keep it from spreading and growing so rapidly.

If you think yours is bad.. mine is a sure fire theft deterant (sp?) I even replaced my Sunroof panel because of rust.

thats just surface rust, take care of it now and it wont come back.

I recomend POR15 for traking care of rusty cars.

You need the preprimer with it(silver ****) it likes to fish eye so You gotta go with a couple coats, but the **** ends like being a god damn plastic lining where you paint it on your car. It CAN be sanded and painted right over.

Im probably gonna do it to my teg soon before the 1st snow.. at least get my rear quarters and inder wells taken care off before it snows.. and the under side.

Hate to burst your bubble, but fiberglass that is properly mixed and worked will out last Honda's cheap OEM metal....save yourself the time and effort and do it that way. Remember that Bondo is garbage, use only fiberglass. There is no way that fiberglass can rust. Cutting and welding in pieces of metal will just eventually do it again(rust) Your rust issue is next to nothing, so yes grind it down and rework with a nice fiberglass. Don't let the fresh grinded metal stay exposed to o2 for long, do it quick.
