engine rebuild kit
hey i got a civic dx engien for $50 with 245k on it that i am putting in my crx. i need to put it in b. ci have to get to work. ok, after i get some money, i would like to rebuild it. i am going to use the dx block and y8 head for all motor since the compressionw ill be a lil higher. where can i get a rebuild kit? im just looking for the bottom end, but i wouldnt mind a whole kit. and also, i hear its pretty hard to rebuild an engine. im 16, would this be a good idea for me to do it myself? what tools are needed besides the basics? okt hanks

the y8 HG is only $22 from hondaautomotiveparts.com...and thats a genuine honda HG. i dont know how much from a normal local honda dealership, maybe $5-10 more.
valve cover gaskets are $8 from honda...i think. just reuse the old one if its in good shape. ive had my cover off about 30 times with the same used gasket and it works fine...no leaks.
mr. gasket has complete gasket kits...$140 from summit. i dont know about complete rebuild kits, i thought i saw something before but i cant remember where it was. if i find it ill write back.

how difficult is it to put in new piston rings, once the pistons are out, its eazy, but getting them out and putting thme in is the problme. what tools are needed? besides the basic wrench etc.
