Sounds like me. I got a D16A6 with a blown head gasket for $50. I'm trying to find a rebuild kit for a decent price.

GO TO AUTOZONE OR SOMETHING

piston rings are 70
rod bearings are like 65
main bearings are 30
head gasket its 55 (35 on the A6 case but the 93 Si metal one "Z6" its better )
oil pan gasket its 17
valve cover gasket its 14
timing belt its 35
main and rear seals are 20 both
water pump (not sure ) but somewhere around 85

all this stuff its needed
i have been rebuiulding a few motors for the past few weeks and i kinda know the price

the y8 HG is only $22 from hondaautomotiveparts.com...and thats a genuine honda HG. i dont know how much from a normal local honda dealership, maybe $5-10 more.

valve cover gaskets are $8 from honda...i think. just reuse the old one if its in good shape. ive had my cover off about 30 times with the same used gasket and it works fine...no leaks.

mr. gasket has complete gasket kits...$140 from summit. i dont know about complete rebuild kits, i thought i saw something before but i cant remember where it was. if i find it ill write back.

how difficult is it to put in new piston rings, once the pistons are out, its eazy, but getting them out and putting thme in is the problme. what tools are needed? besides the basic wrench etc.
