motor blown in my Si, can i use an Accord F22???
long story short.... my 93 Si's engine is about to blow all to hell, it has a knock, so its parked. i have a good F22 someone gave me that i am considering using just so i have a daily driver.
i knwo that physically the engine will go in, will bolt up to the tranny, to the mounts, etc. the thing i am wondering about is the wiring and ECU. would my Si Harness be useable on the F22?? what about ECU, what ECU would i have to run??
if anyone has the slightest bit of info, no matter how small, post it up, maybe it'll help

lol, man you have great luck lately.
I believe the ecu for the f22 is the p12 and i believe the harness is the same as the si harness. the si harness may just have a few extra wires not needed by the f22.

dont remind me..... at least i *might* have the 97 running later tonight (well, it runs, i am just trying to fix a nasty exhaust leak now) but yea, i realy just need to go get my old E30 BMW and just start driving it again, sheesh. but i am was told to check my water pump, i doubt thats the problem, but i am gonna check it out, if it feels OK, i am just gonna pull out the H23 and see if i can get the F22 to work, i just need something to drive everyday, mom wants her blazer back, so i am gonna be SOL unless i figure something out FAST
oh, BTW, i DO still have that sleeved H23 block lying around (cant reply on PM, i was reset back to trial user... they gave me an inch, and i took a lot more
)

Blown? Couldn't have happened to a better guy
If you are interested I know where a f22a is at... but it has a rock knock.

you may be able to rebuild the H23 w/ some F22 parts.....say, swap out the crank instead of machining, throw in some new bearings...might not be quick, but it's one way f doing things
EDIT - Typo; I meant F22 parts, since most of the F22 is the same as the H23
