Default Cooling fan won't kick on.... a little help please.

Ever since I hooked up my auotmeter water temp gauge my fan won't kick on. I replaced my stock temp sending unit with the autometer one...I'm assumeing that is what is doing it. Can I just splice the wire from the stock sending unit onto the wire I have going to my autometer gauge? Or will I have to put the fan on a toggle switch?

nothing works like oem..get the oem thermoswitch or you can make a switch to turn on the fan whenever you want
