Oh No!!!

Default Oh No!!!

My friend adjust the tension of timing belt for me, but he have broke the tension adjust bolt, the top of the bolt went off, how can i remove the complete bolt, please help!!!!!

Big Oops!
You have to use a screw stractor, but there isn't enough room to get the tool in there.
You can still remove the timing belt if you work it a bit at a time.
I have done it before without loosening the tensioner pulley.
I once had to loosen the intake cam to tilt it a bit so I could slide the belt over the cam gear.

so- the tensioner pulley comes off right? Extractors aren't going to do anything for you if you broke the bolt taking it out. You will have to tear the belt covers off, remove the tensioner pulley and use some parrot jaw pliers or a small pipe wrench to remove the rest of the bolt.

But the t-belt is really tight at the momoent. Any other methods can adjust the tension???

slide the belt off of the cam gear- it WILL come off with some finger work.
