ok, its 8am and i just dropped my roomate off at work on my day off.

coming home, i got a cel...code 8, top dead center sensor or whatnot.

what should i check? i know the sensor is inside the distributer correct? do i need a whole new distributer, or can i check some other things first?

i searched and the best info i found was one guy found out it was actually the ignition switch...hmmmmm.

any advice guys?

ps- can i drive my car with the code 8 on and not F up anything? i need to drive to my work so i can get my paycheck so i can have money to fix the problem....

 

Well your car will be in limp mode - meaning don't rev it hard. Most people have to replace the whole distributor.

 

the 2nd gen crx 1.6l distributer will work with the sohc zc correct? just double checking...
