Damn, its really easy to remove the regions on a dvd... pick it up next time!

You dont need a region free player. The disc is region zero. It plays on my region 2 (UK) Playstation 2. I got my copy from Amazon.co.jp along with the NSX-R DVD

i picked my copy up in osaka. it is a region 2 vid. my chipped apex pos dvd player will play anyhting though!

I could have sworn they were R0 but amazon.co.jp says's region 2 !

 

japan is region 2 so I can't play it in USDM DvD players.

 

Those el-cheepo Apex DVD players (40 bux @ Circuit City) will play ANYTHING

Yep. The difference from other region 2 discs is that they are NTSC rather than PAL (european format)

I doubt it. You can't play R1 on a UK playstation 2. There are software based region free discs though. You just put the DVD region software in then when it's loaded put the DVD in.

 

if anyone is really interested in viewing this, i dont have a problem putting it to vhs as long as you cover the tape and shipping. only down side is that you wont be able to use the multi-angle in some of the races, even though they all will still be on it the tape, just in differenty location

why not just rip it and put on internet so we can download it ?
and for people who has region code problem, why not just get universal DVD player ? it will play any region code dvd

 

id rip it if i could get my PC to recognize it
