Default Good SQ subs??

hey guys... I'm lookin to start myself on the way to a really good SQ bass setup, just for background I drive a 89Teg RS 2dr hatch.... and I've been lookin at JLw6's... 7's are a 'lil outside my price range and I was wonderin if they have good SQ, or are more of a SPL sub.... It'd also be great if someone could offer alternatives to good SQ subs that aren't rediculously expensive
thanx

What kind of budget do you have?

Do you have an amp to power it? If so state brand make/model... if not, how much are you looking to spend on this as well?

If you are looking for cheap, get the 12" infinity reference, takes underrated at 300 RMS. I ran 450 to it and it didn't blink. They run $50 on Ebay. probably $80 in stores if you find a sale. If you really like bass get two of them. I think that I would trade my two $800 (each) 15's for four of those infinities if I had the trunk space.

Try the elemental designs a series. They are in the price range of the w6's, around 300.

I run two audiobahn 10"s, sound great. I've heard you don't want to power their speakers to max rms though...

but what about respl.com ?
i was quoted "only" 369 for the 12" xxx.
various people have said they rival the W7
and for the price omg..fuccadubbayewseven.
i can't wait to try resonant engineering's sub.

-rod
who used to own a JL audio 10W7 and 500/1 in a ported enclosure with
GREAT SQ *thanks to the pro enclosure made by vteg* and a whole lotta SPL.

I think 2 cubes ported is sufficient. That is 4 cubes total. You have not seen the 15xxx box I built yet
