Default Mini Cooper 17" Wheels!

I really like style of the 17 inch wheels that come with the cooper s. They got the same bolt pattern (4x100mm) so i think they should fit. They weigh in at 24lbs though. What experoences have you guys had with 17" wheels on the CRX. I have a B18B and im peicing togther a turbo kit right now, so im not too worried about increasing my unsprung weight so much as getting better handling and a modicum style. My goal with this car is to have a good balance of power handling and breaking. Style wise I want snazz it up a little while staying true to the CRX essense (no body kits, wings, clear corners, crazy paint jobs). So Mini 17s a good idea or a dumb one? Recommend other after market rims that look like these? Different size? Lighter? I dont mind the expense of low profile tires. I have a short commute and cali weather is pretty nice so no need for all-season or snow tires.

check the offset on the mini tires... maynot work well with CRX..
usually want about 43..

I have rolled on 17's, 23lbs and yes I am ambarrased to say so..

drops about 40 horsepower on the butt dyno...

they happen to look pretty damn good though... ALT 7's on a H&R drop

too big and heavy if you want performance....and I think the offset is off as well as said above. If you just want to have it for looks and then swap on other wheels for race, then go for it

Are there any aftermarket 17s that look like these out there that arent as heavy? Not freakishly expense either (around the $1000 range)
