FWIW, I ran ITR springs + crower ti retainers in my car for some 30k miles. Rev limit 9000-9200 (hondata). if you're on CTR/ITR cams torque will drop off sharply after 8500 rpm. i switch to skunk2 cams recently (from CTR) and it pulls strong to 9200 rpm. but i switched the inner springs to portflows because i also have a set of toda b's to play with later.

you are safe to 9000 rpm if you have ti retainers.

hmm actually please clarify your springs again. you have ITR dual intake valve springs and you moved the old GSR dual intake springs to the exhaust side? or something else? GSR's dual intake springs is identicle to ITR's dual ex. springs (same part #'s).

i should also note that back in 1999 i was running the prototype skunk2 cams on stock b16a valve springs (dual intake, single exhaust) with no problem. took it occasionally to 8800 rpm back then. it works because of the ramp profile. just the lift and duration doesn't tell the whole story.
