nj peeps, help w/ my kenwood
I have one of those kenwood mask receivers, its currently off my car but I don't think its broken. I took it off from my old car n it was working perfectly, I've tried to put it back on & it doesn't fully function......I hear somethin but it doesn't flip back up....(mask feature)
Is there anybody here that could take a look at it for me to see what's up with it.....if i can fix it if its broken. Thanks in advance.

If memory serves, on that headunit there is a kill switch that when turned off or disconnected causes the face to stay shut.
My buddy has one I will ask him about it.

thanks....i'll try to get the exact model & tell me your' friends so that i can figure this thing out.......its a great unit.....when its working
Alright. He said the unit doesn't even power on without that switch lead grounded or power (can't remember which right now) . The manual I got for his from kenwoods site had the diagram to show how to hook it up.
make sure the tracks on the side are not bent *at all*. That's the biggest thing that gets screwed when you take them out.. slight bend and it jams the face
On the harness for that unit should be a wire that says security or some such ****. It's basically a power wire that is run to a switch. If the switch is off the unit doesn't get power. If you find that wire and it is in truth a power wire (consult your manual rather than my memory) you can just hook it to your switched 12V lead and the unit should power up.
What is your model number?
