I had music in my Prelude for 3.5 yrs untouched. Then i moved back home with my mom, and about 5 days later they got me. I guess they knew what I had from when I used to visit her in the past, because I didn't play it loud when I moved home.

i was going to pay 4000 for my crx, but 3 days before i went to get it, it got broken into. the owner dropped the price by 2000 because of that (it was a kickin sound system originally too). the car has an alarm as well....lame.

I had two windows busted out in 2 weeks in entirely different locations. My alarm must have scared them away because nothing was taken.

The police found my car 96 Civic EX thank God at 1:30am in the morning funny thing I had driven it for 2 days with the gas light on so when the sucker got in there he had no gas. He only got a block and a half away. Police woke me up at 2am. Even in a block and a half they destroyed steering column, curbed my rims and 2 week old Kumos, and trashed the front bumper, dented driver side quarter panel and rear bumper, and scratched it and drivers side window molding, and some CDs. thank heavens for insurance. Grand total $4500 to repair

I'm with you on this one. I had a pretty decent system and it got jacked. I still wanted music so I got an even better system. Window got smashed at school, no entry into the car. Decieded a system wasn't worth having my car fucked up all the time. Since they system is gone not a single problem.

you realize that a pm-6 or probably any obd-0 ecu will run that car right?

Still a good idea though.

some scumbags tried jacking my **** while i was on vacation in Seaside Heights, NJ. I parked the car on the main strip and left it for about an hour and a half. Came back to my car parked all crooked and moved about 2ft.

They snapped that little black clip off the drivers side window, pulled the window back, and reached in and unlocked that bitch. After that they broke and ripped out the lock cylinder and started it with a screw driver.

Car must have ran for 5 sec.'s and stalled out on they're ***. I would have loved to see the look on the dudes face when the car didnt start again, lol

He didnt take a damn thing out of my car, but he tried real hard to find the kill switch. I guess he gave up and just locked the door and left.

I was pissed, but relieved that my car was still there.

After bugging out for a few miniutes, i got in , pressed the kill switch (the a/c button at the time) and started it with a screwdriver. Drove all the way home with a screwdriver hanging out of the ignition

I have an alarm since then, but i use my new and improved fuel-cut off all the time.

ive had my crx broken into 2 times and the tires slashed 2 times 3 altogether had no alarm both times that it was broken into and now i have one and havent had to done again(knock on wood) all they took both times was my radio and cd's but nothing major so i have been lucky i guess but if you dont have one get an alarm most people that jack stuff like radios and what not are not professionals and it will spook them.

Had my car broken into broad daylight at the mall, lost my stereo and some cd's of some bands the theives probably never heard of.
Not to mention it was my b-day and I got a speeding ticket on my way to that mall...

A year or so later a friend and I were in the same city, we could see the mall from the hotel we stayed at. His rear passenger side window was smashed, other side was tampered with...Lost his stereo, gps, ps2, a few cd's, and a power inverter. Thank god our two laptops were inside with us or we'd really be pissed. Luckily he had full coverage and a small deductable. I think he ended up making money on the deal and got an xbox instead of the crappy ps2!

Twice, an alarm doesn't matter. Maybe back in the 80's someone cared, now everyone shrugs them off.

One time I had nose surgery, and my wife drove my car home, and didn't turn on my alarm, I was in the bed for two weeks, when I was well enough to go out, went to my car and my system was stolen out on my car, they used my toolbox in the car, cut all the wires nice and neat, before that, all was stolen was my fog lights. On my next car, I also had an alarm, but they figured out a way to open up my hood and was trying to steal my intake, and I heard my car chirping, and went outside an ran them off, the next day I went and got the mercury sensor under the hood, other than that, all they ever stole off of the car was the red "H" on the hood.

thats true i agree with that, now if you hear an alarm what do you usually do, nothing at all think to yourself "someone needs to turn that **** off" nothing more to it

Had mine broken into once - they busted the drivers side window, stole my CD's and ripped off the face from my CD player. They also took some stuff from the glove box...

Another day I was at the mall, and somebody decided to steal the lenses off my front bumper turn signals, leaving the bulbs hanging out... Why would someone do that?

I'd better get an alarm before it gets worse!

less than 4 months ago my driver's side window was broken out on my busted *** looking 4dr (no alarm) right in front of the house. dumb f*cker must have been in and out because my CDs were all that the F*ckin thief took. my VAFC was just hanging from the glove box along with my GReddy AF gauge. Thank God I didn't lose anything else.

3 Fuckinng Times!!!!!

Once in the alley behind my house, oh wait, make that twice, stereo stolen both times, and once at the movie theater in some shitty *** rural community, they smashed my driver window, and stole the tach. Idiots did nothing to my sparco seat, the Eibach Prokit in the hatch, the $600 camera on the back seat, they just smashed, took the tach and ran. FUCKERZ. I replaced the door instead of fixing it, it's just easier, and only $50. same color and everything.

Jung

And now I've got a shitty alarm and flat black thief deterant spray painted car.

It's stories like these that have me seriously considering mounting my IC BEHIND the radiator when I go turbo. I don't know what I'l do to keep the exhaust looking stock. I'm already finding the stealthiest places to mount gauges. I want to tint the windows, but I don't want people thinking I have stuff worth hiding. looking stock = safe. nobody wants to steal a stock 13 year old civic
