Seems like a lot of us are getting jacked, is there any way to protect ourselves?

 

I say fuel cut off switch should work...got one in my CRX. As long as you hide it well enough it can't be driven, period. Unless they bring a flatbed and haul it away, which is a lot of noise.

We could add broken into, and had stuff stolen out of the car......

My car has not been stolen....can't participate

 

stolen with a tow truck...i had an alarm, steering devices, etc. a couple dollys for the rear wheels and the tow truck was off. '97teg was found the next day and the fawkers were caught...work out for me, i was lucky.

93 civic broken into, battery was dead so theives couldnt take it but broke the ignition and window. got both fixed along with a new battery...and it was stolen that same week its been about a yr and its never been recovered...

 

The police found my car 96 Civic EX thank God at 1:30am in the morning funny thing I had driven it for 2 days with the gas light on so when the sucker got in there he had no gas. He only got a block and a half away. Police woke me up at 2am. Even in a block and a half they destroyed steering column, curbed my rims and 2 week old Kumos, and trashed the front bumper, dented driver side quarter panel and rear bumper, and scratched it and drivers side window molding, and some CDs. thank heavens for insurance. Grand total $4500 to repair

 

Way cool that you got it back.. Most don't and without insurance..
