Default 5th Gen Prelude - FAL Flexite Windows

I've been in contact with FAL, the makers of Flexite windows, and they are willing to make Prelude windows, BUT they will require at least 2 sets of stock Prelude glass windows and a market from the Prelude owners to purchase at least 10 kits. This would be for the "street" style kit only (2 rear quarters & 1 rear window).

I've tried posting this on PreludeOnline.com and got little to no response, but I was hoping that some people that actually track their cars on a regular basis would appreciate this. This would not be for a street driven car (but who I'm I to say that).

This would be a significant weight savings if you've already done all the other stuff.

The question being: If this 3-piece kit runs close to the market price for FAL's other models ($500~$600), how many of you would be interested?

Well its a great proposal but I must say that I'm not ready for that kind of modification just yet. STS rules.

One fundamental glitch in this strategy is that plastic windows aren't legal in most road racing classes that would attract a steel-bodied Prelude. I don't know about soloII however...

The plastic windows are legal in Prepared and Modified classes only, but some people chopped their roof off anyways. So what's the need for plastic windows?
