Default Help I broke my F4i! Part Deux

I just got a call from the shop I took it to (See Help I broke my F4i! https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=647046 ) and he says he thinks the timing chain jumped a tooth and may either be hung up on the crank, or a piston may have hit a valve, because he cannot turn the engine over at all . . . Can anyone agree with that? Should I keep insisting on checking the Clutch?? Would the engine freeze up or be able to crank if the clutch had broken into pieces? Does the F4i have that clearance problem where it could hit a valve?

The F4i has a crap design for the CCT (cam chain tensioner), they are known to go. I assume with what you did, it could have jumped the chain off of the gears and locked the crank up somehow. If it only jumps a tooth, you will have poor cam timing. And valve/piston slap. If the pistons hit valves from the chain going right off, your engine is going to have suffered some serious damage. Either way they're going to have to pull your fairings so they might as well check it all.
Let us know how it goes.

So that means it is a clearance motor that could've hit valves . . . That stinks so bad The clutch being blown up couldn't cause the motor not to turn over? Does the starter connect to a flywheel like on a car? If so, if the clutch was broken into pieces, would that prevent the starter from turning the engine? Does anyone have a gun I can shoot myself with since I no longer have a motorcycle? hehe

I need more info to diagnose the prob... but here's what I think. Your engine is seized in one area or another. Because what happens with the starter is the reduction gear shoots out to engage the flywheel and ultimately turn the crank and engine on. If there is restriction here, there is restriction. If its just not cranking, you could have shattered teeth on the flywheel, reduction gear, etc...

if you have AIM and want the service manual, shoot me an IM VolpeOwnsU

When I try to turn the engine over, it drains the battery very fast, so much so that if you hold the start button for longer than 5 seconds, the electronics retest themselves (tach goes all the way and back down, speedo goes to max then counts down, as if you turned the key off then back on), and even the FI light comes on again, only the fuel pump sounds lower pitched . . . It really sucks, only had the bike for about 4 1/2 months or so . . .
