I treid on a Bieffe Predator helmet in a Medium today and I liked how it fit. Does anyone have one for sale or know of a cheap place to get one? The local shop had one left for $350.

 

I'd be really wary about buying a used helmet unless it's from someone that you know and trust. If you drop your helmet from waist height you're advised to replace it, so just imagine if the previous owner did so and didn't tell you. Also think about what would happen if it wasn't packaged properly for shipping. A helmet can be bad even if you can't tell by looking at it from the outside.

 

Yeah I considered all that. I figured I would ask, but mainly was just looking for a good place to buy one.

 

$350 is a decent price. I doubt you'll find it much cheaper unless you run across a used one, or someone getting rid of one on ebay maybe.

 

Bieffe Predator gets my vote, I replaced my old Bell with the Predator last year and love it. Would 110% recommend it - weighs half of what my Bell weighed, is cooler, and fits my odd shaped melon better.

As far as finding one at a good price, search the internet- I found mine at one of the retailers on Yahoo! shopping. Brand new, white, SA2000, shipped and at my door for around $310 if I remember correctly. That has been a year and a few months, so prices may have increased since then, but at the time they were cheaper than any of the catalogs that I had on the same product.

If you do a google search you might find a couple places selling for around $300. I got mine from http://www.daveturner.com for $300 1 yr ago but he said it was going up soon.
