so im lookin to buy a set of speakers for my girls EL. (civic basically).

right now i have a RF amp (either 50 or 75 x4) and only want to get speakers. prolly do a headunit at a later time.

i think the car takes 6.5s in the front, and 6x9s in the rear.

so, my questions..
1. should i stay with these specs, or consider changing rears to 6.5s? i dont know if ill lose too much bass this way tho.. i would imagine so.

2. any recommendations on good speakers at a good price? i priced a set of sony 6.5s and kicker 6x9s from ctuchballz for around $220, which is about all i want to spend. (im not cheap, i just dropped a ball on an engagement ring)
is this good, or can anyone recommend better sheit for better prices? i guess im old and out of the loop these days

whenever building someone a system, I always tell them to go with a head unit first, it's what everything runs from, then you can upgrade your interiors, then your sub(s).

BUT I'd stick with the 6x9"s in the back, they can put out some good bass even without subs. and I run audiobahn's, but I'd also suggest infinity. ebay has better prices too, crutchfield is usually pricey
