Default tranny block brace question

I am about to get a header and was wondering if the bottom tranny block brace has to come off.....

1. will it afftect anything in a negative (ie. the way it mounts, the way it perfroms)
2. how hard is it to complete this task
3. how do you go about doing it

Thanks!!!

Every off-the shelf header designed for the ITR application is designed with the tranny block brace in mind...custom headers are a different story and you will have to ask the person making it

1. It was designed to stiffen up the tranny to motor, plus its used as a flywheel cover
2. couple of bolts
3. Remove the header; unbolt the brace.

I just bolted on my Hytech header today and had to grind off a bit of the tranny to give room for the header. I believe the same goes for the SMSP header. It took me 1/2 hour to unbolt the brace, grind off some metal and bolt it back up.
