good luck finding an ACUTAL EF master cylinder, now an ED master cylinder should be redily available for you and you should have no trouble fitting one on there

ED is the chassis code for the 88-91 crx/civic in the U.S., EF is the code for them in Japan...

I assume you are using a used master cylinder. My advice: Go get a new/reman unit from the parts store for like $60. Old master cylinders could and will fail at any time and using an old one is just doing 2x the work when the used one fails.

Part of the problem is the fact that the forum is named "CRX / EF Civic". That just propagates the misuse of the EF chassis code. Maybe change it to CRX (1G/2G) & Civic (3G/4G)?

no, its not low balling, i just would not recommend getting a used master cylinder and/or brake booster ever
