Default Should I Buy This Exhaust?

My Exhaust for my car has several holes and looks very old and rusty. Instead of me paying for all the new pieces which will add up to over 200 bucks. Should I ****** this exhaust? Will it fit right? Bolt right up to my zc?
Does it come with everything I will need? I dont get what axleback means. Im used to catback, what else is extra in this kit?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...29656

Any hp gains? Im not looking to buy this as my full time exhaust but its 300 cheaper than the apex I want so will it do for now? Uses stock rubber mounts?

Thanks

OBX isnt bad at all for the price. It does use all the stock hangers and such but the only problem that I have heard is that it tends to hang low due to the round muffler but nothing a little bending and tweaking couldnt fix.

However you were talking how your exhaust is full of holes and such you do know that that auction is for only the axle back and not the cat back right?? If your midpipe is rusty keep looking on ebay there are OBX cat back systems for sale on there all the time and again for cheap.

*EDIT* Saw that you added in there about the differences between catback and axle back. Well you know what catback is obviously its from the cat to the end of your exhaust now axle back is only the section after the midpipe so from your back wheel to the end. So basically with that auction your only getting the muffler and tailpipe and a pipe that goes from the muffler to the midpipe you would still need a midpipe then.

so thats what I looking for? Thats actually more than I wanna spend. I think I might just buy a shitty cherry bomb muffler and a tip for new and weld up the holes until I can afford the exhaust I want. Is there any way to patch small exhaust holes where the welds have broken without rewelding?

Yeah that would be more towards what your looking for I still dont think the price is bad but hey its your money!!

As for fixing holes you could maybe try that muffler tape and there are also some other tapes and bonding crap you can get to fix/fill holes with.

OBX muffler is a little low due to size, however fit and finish are amazing, pipes hage better than the Brospeed Bosal that I had till it got caught on a drain and went bye-bye. I got a cat back for $275 and that was the DUal tip one all stainless. Axel back is just that, look behind pasenger rear wheel you will see a flange, axel back is from there back if pipe from cat to there is rusted through you need a catback not a axel back.

Seriously? 279 for a dual exhaust? My rear body kit bumper had dual exhaust and I was going to fill the holes, If I could get a dual exhaust OBX off ebay or a site for 279 I would get it asap, dont care if I have to wait til next check to pay for my plates

Duals will prolly cost you hp. And sound like ****... just some info. Don't post an auction on here. I'm actually tempted to bid myself, but at least I have honor.

Well OBX does make an actual Dual exhaust well more like tailpipes that exit on each side of the muffler to give you the look of a dual exhaust BUT all the auctions on Ebay are like he said above me for a Dual TIP muffler so basically like a stock Si exhaust so 2 tailpipes right next to eachother.

As for the sound I have heard that it sounds very nice and deep but I dont have the axle back section I only have the midpipe and from what I know it sounds very nice and not loud at all it comes with a resonator so that takes the buzziness out of it. My exhaust is a DC header into a gutted cat and OBX midpipe and then the stock Si axle back and it is very very quiet for me not having any kind of cat. I would say if you can afford it and dont want to spend much to get it but if its something you want to just replace a little ways down the road just fix yours or try to find a used stock exhaust to replace yours for the time being. Which pipes a re bad on yours?? Cause I have a stock midpipe I could sell you and if anything you could go with just the axle back system then to save yourself some money?

I wouldnt really worry about it there are always tons and tons of OBX exhausts for sale on ebay all the time I waited and waited and waited and ended up winning the auction on a midpipe for only like $65 bucks when a lot of times they were jumping to over a $100 bucks most of the time.

I actually just purchased the same exhaust for my hb about a week ago. The sound of the exhaust is really, really good, much better than I expected.

If you don't want any sound at all, you can keep the silencer it comes with, it will be as quiet as stock, literaly!

The quality of the product is excellent as well, again, the only downside is that it tends to hang pretty low if you have your car lowered.

$239 for a full stainless catback is a steal in my opinion, but if you keep checking week in and week out, the guy puts them at $199 every once in a while.

I highly recommend the product, feel free to ask any questions

good luck,
Lester

I think I might buy it, so a catback is from the pipe startting just after my cat or does this include the cat?

Yeah a catback starts just after the cat so no there wont be a cat you can use your stock one or get a test pipe or a racing cat or whatever?? the systems are meant to bolt onto your stock cat though so if you get it and dont have an aftermarket cat it will bolt onto your stock cat.

Is that your suggestion to everything. The reason people are on Honda-Tech is because it is a technical resource for research man, by making a thread they are doing research. If you dont know the answer bro leave it at that. Not trying to be a dick but i have read that in your past 2 post. Its not only not helpful but makes you come off like someone who is very repetative and unhelpful. Other then that I LOVE YOU. No harsh feelings only my opinion.

J/W it says it won't fit on the Hatchback is the HF a diff body style than the DX and Si... I just purchased my 91 CRX DX(i assume) from work and it also has a cracked Muffler but also has a leaky head gasket... I previously owned a Ford Focus Zx3 so I don't know honda's at all.
