Default finished socketing my ECM.

first time PSB soldering in over ten years, without real gear, (2 dollar soldering stick, 6" of soldering compound and nothing else) assembled my programmer a few weeks ago, but couldn't REALLY test it until i got my 29c256 chip and a ZIF. just finished removing the OEM chip, relocating the transistor, and forcing the ZIF in. burned a stock bin, installed the ECM, erratic idle and CEL 14, after a few tries, and some thinking i realized the transistor was relocated wrongly. re-soldered, installed ECM, nice idle.
we'll see how it runs on the way to work.
kids, don't try this at home, especially without desoldering wick, i had to coax the ZIF in the empty spot, with only three hours to sleep and no other car to get to work on, in case this one goes into limp mode.
but i am happy. next, TTL converter install = datalogging. anyone has a cheap laptop to sell? after that, wideband kit. i feel confident in my soldering skills now.
thank you and good night.
pictures to come
