CRX/B18 clutch cable question...
very simple: i have a 88 HF with a B18A1 and the stock clutch cable looks to be about 2inchs too ****** short!!! the legnth im talking about is between the bracket and the T/O bearing arm. with the adj nut all the way out its ~2inches too short?!?!?! i have never heard from anyone that this needs to be swapped out when doing a swap so whats up??
Cut the black plastic sheath flush with the top of the adjuster nut. You will only need to cut down to the metal outer cable. Pull out the outer cable. Shorten with a dremel but be very carefull not to cut the inner cable. Reinstall and be on your merry way. I had to cut about 1-1/2 inch out of mine.

Sorry, don't have a pix hosting place. Your clutch cable is actually an outer hollow, flexible tube with a smaller cable inside that pulls the clutch arm when you mash the clutch. You need to shorten the outer tube to allow the cable to reach and attach to the clutch arm. This is the tranny end I'm talking about. The easiest way to shorten it is to cut it off. Before you can do this, you have to pull it out of the adjusting nut. You have to cut the black plastic sheath first. This is the outer covering of the clutch cable. Then just pull the metal part out exposing it's end and cut it off without cutting the inner cable. It's not hard to do. Hard to explain!
