I am building an LS/VTEC with CTR Piston (Standard Bore). Which Piston rings are to be used with them???
As far as OEM Honda rings, do I have to buy CTR Piston rings??? (If so, does anyone have a picture with the part number???)
OR can I go to my local Honda dealership and by Civic Si B16 Piston wrings??? (I think they are P30 Pitons.)

Okay, I just ordered my Piston Wrings today from Honda for my CTR Pistons.
The Part number on the receipt 13011-PR3-003 is for a '00 Civic Si.
Is that Correct???

If the car is strictly a street car, I will use onda rings when possible. If I am building a higher performance engine, I will use low tension rings to cut back on internal friction.
I NEEDED THAT INFO ALSO I WAS WONDERING IF U HAVE 2 MACHINE NE THING OFF THE CTR PISTON IF U PUT IT ON AN LS ROD I HAVE 95JDM B16A2 HEAD 99 BLOCK WILL THE PISTONS FIT WITH NO PROBLEMS OR MODS TO THE PISTONS WITH OUT ANY VALVE CLEARANCE ISSUES
You will need to machine 1mm of each side of the rod to squeeze CTR pistons on to an ls rod.
As far as clearance, with pistons like those of CTR's nature you should clay your motor to check for valve clearance.

Nothing to worry about.
You can have your machinist machine the piston to fit the rod instead of the other way around. THat is how my CTR pistons were done.
